In this talk, American labour organiser Erik Forman will discuss the theory and practice behind the rise of a new workers’ movement in the US- from the Wisconsin Uprising and Occupy Wall Street, to recent campaigns to build unions in the fast food industry. Forman has spent the last 5 years as a worker in the fight to unionise Starbucks, Jimmy John’s, and other corporate chains with the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW)
